Kitchen Lighting Design

Basic configuration of lights: overall lighting and accent lighting.

•         Lighting installed under hanging cabinets is close to the eyes, so should be installed anti-glare lighting fixtures, also can use fixtures with lamp shades to protect the eyes.

② Open kitchen

•         · When selecting lighting, the illumination from the living room should also be considered.

•         · When using projection lights or downlights, it is best to use narrow beam lights that can ensure illumination at hand.

•         · Lighting fixtures that can adjust the angle will be more convenient to use.

Pay attention to the installation position of the light

•         · For directly installed lamps, it is important to note that the position should not affect the opening and closing of the storage cabinet door.

•         · Lights that illuminate the hand must be equipped with shields so that people will not directly see the light source when standing in front of the cooking table. If downlights of narrow beams, shadows will be created at hand, recommended to use wide beams.

•         · Using downlights for overall lighting, it is recommended to use diffused LED lamps. Halogen bulbs or concentrated LED lamps will create strong shadows and are inconvenient to use.

Basic configuration of lights

1.         · Tasking lighting for the washbasin the image in the mirror must be more beautiful and not dazzling. Wall lamps or line lamps with milky white acrylic or soft and diffuse light are usually installed on the left and right sides or above the mirror.

2.         · General lighting in the bathroom, wide beam downlights are used. In order to make the skin look more beautiful, it is recommended to use LED lights with better color rendering.

3.         · Accent lighting, downlights with small beam angles are usually installed in the storage area, and light strips are installed at the bottom of the storage cabinet.

Bathroom lighting considerations

•         · If the bathroom has a window, pay attention to the location of the lighting so that the user's silhouette does not appear on the frosted glass.

•         · If you install lighting fixtures on the bathtub side (opposite to the window), the silhouette of the body will appear on the frosted glass of the window.

•         · In addition, it must be in a position where the lighting fixture will not enter your sight when you are in the bathtub.

Powder room considerations

Using downlights as overall lighting can provide sufficient brightness, but it will cause unnatural shadows on the face. Install wall lights on the left and right of the mirror so that the face is not easily shadowed.
